Currawong Creek is a short story accompanied by photography that tells the story of a girl in rural Victoria having a tense reunion with an old friend. The story portrays grief, the loss of childhood, and the complexities of friendship through the lens of growing up in the Australian bushland.
Tahlia's passion within the arts is telling stories with rich characters and imagery. She wants to create an emotional connection between her work and the audience, and she hopes that they empathise with the characters. During lockdown Tahlia has found it difficult to get the motivation to write, but whenever she spends some time typing, she is reminded just how much she loves the craft.
