What can I do when the fire goes out?

Mitchell Griffin

A short piece of film imagery, ‘What can I do when the fire goes out’?’ is a project that is shot in my local area with wildlife and nature being the main attraction. Accompany by these shots is a narrative of key words and phrases that summed up the ‘hell on earth’ year that was 2020. The title of the piece questions the creative person within who may have been challenged to be inspired during these troubling times but acts as a contrast of what you can achieve even in the current climate we are facing everyday.

Hello everyone, Mmy name is Mitchell Griffin and I’m a current 3rdthird year La Trobe University student studying a Bachelor of Creative Arts, Double Major in Screen and Media. I came to university at an older age as I wasn’t sure for many years what I wanted to do as a career but knew my passions were in the field of Screen and Media.  With my passion for film studies, I knew this course would give me exactly what I wanted. My plans for the future revolve around the field that I love so much and wish to put forward my passion and ideas especially with the industry being basically on hold for so long, I want to see it thriving once again. 2021 has thrown a massive curveball at us but with the knowledge that I’ve been exposed to over my three3 years of study, I’m excited to see what the future throws at me.
